ADMS & MPC Publishing’s Company Profile
Automotive Data Marketing Services, Inc. (or ADMS) is the exclusive international distributor of MPC Publishing’s advanced engine diagnostics and automotive repair training. For over twenty years ADMS & MPC Publishing have been delivering the most efficient engine repair information and training to tens of thousands of repair shops across North America. Initially our information was available in manuals, then more recently on CD-Rom and DVD’s. Now, for the first time, we are offering unlimited 24 hour access to the complete library of MPC Publishing’s training and technology developed by Bill Peek and Dr. Norman Nall.
ADMS’s groundbreaking new website, www.automotivedataservices.com, has one objective…delivering all the diagnostic information and training that an independent repair shop will ever need for all domestic and import OBDII vehicles, via audio/visual tutorials. With a few point and clicks, technicians can study any of our independently researched programs as comprehensive courses, or as needed, since detailed indexes allow for quick recall of specific data and repair procedures when a vehicle is “on the rack”. Now a technician can train in the areas that he or she needs to keep up with the increasingly sophisticated technologies necessary to service today's vehicles, at their convenience.
Our tutorials offer straight line testing procedures, field-tested fixes and independently researched measurement values that are simply not available from any factory resources or computer databases. We show how to fit new technologies into normal diagnostic routines...when to use a particular technique, why you apply it, and how to get the job done in the quickest way possible. ADMS’s methods are proven to accelerate conventional approaches to OBDII vehicles and are derived from real world failures, as opposed to OEM factory information. We deliver the diagnostic shortcuts that experts use instead of confusing flowcharts found in most shop manuals and softwares.
ADMS’s online courses also include the industry’s only comprehensive training on the functionality of all major scan tools and lab-scopes in use today. Most shops have spent many thousands of dollars on hand held scanners and digital storage lab oscilloscopes, but have found to their dismay, that training for such equipment is very hard to find. With ADMS’s website, you will find a growing instructional library for today’s most popular scanners and lab-scopes, including cutting edge training for computer charging and flash updating all OBDII vehicles. Although we are not in the business of selling or endorsing tools, our tutorials are designed to make anyone an expert with their equipment.
Our commitment to the automotive aftermarket is to continue to provide the most efficient and effective solutions for real world problems, each and every day and therefore this resource will continue to grow with new content every six to eight weeks to meet the rapidly changing needs in the marketplace. ADMS & MPC Publishing prides itself on giving independent repair shops avenues to maintain a competitive edge.
ADMS & MPC Publishing’s Diagnostic Advisors
Our diagnostic advisors Bill Peek and Dr. Norman Nall are industry leaders who have dedicated their careers to developing the quickest and simplest techniques for automotive repair and educating the automotive aftermarket. ADMS has been the proud supplier of their products for more than 20 years.
Bill Peek headed up a development team that created the first scan data recorder in 1983 and also the first scan tool that could be updated with a software cartridge, which was a feat that revolutionized the instrument market in 1986. Bill’s extensive career in product development then led to training development, when he realized the dire need to provide technicians with much more diagnostic information than they were getting from manufacturers. Bill wrote the first training manual for diagnosing computer control systems which did not rely on manufacturer flow charts (part of a program to improve training for OTC products). He quickly started Target Training Systems 1989, along with Dr. Norman Nall, and progressed to producing training videos. Bill then started MPC Publishing over 14 years ago and his subsequent manuals and training videos transformed the industry by providing more detailed instructions, tighter specifications, and field tested diagnostics simply not found in any other publications.
Norman “Doc” Nall’s automotive career began back in 1957 and he’s been at it ever since; working with the likes of Super Wrench, Target Training, CARQUEST CTI, MPC Publishing and others. He’s an expert at using simple descriptions to explain highly complex subjects which allows technicians to quickly and accurately understand even the most difficult diagnostic information. Doc Nall’s goal is to train the automotive industry one circuit at a time. Too many training programs still rely on rehashing manufacturer procedures without doing the research to apply it in a service bay. Dr. Norman Nall has become a highly sought after instructor who has been asked to teach at some of the largest and most important functions around the country because he takes the time to translate technology into a language that can be used by any technician to fix vehicles quickly and make big profits.
